Top Restaurants in Chelsea
We asked the Caprice girls for their favourite Chelsea restaurants. This is what they said:
(please also check out our restaurant guide for our South Kensington section)
Rasoi Vineet Bhatia
10 Lincoln Street Chelsea SW3 | 020 7225 1881 | www.rasoi-uk.com
Fancy a bit of Indian, sir? This tucked away (and it really is tucked away – you have to ring the doorbell to get in!), small restaurant is a little known but highly regarded, Michelin starred, family run restaurant. Your salivating Caprice girl will be impressed you know about this place. Relaxed atmosphere away from the typical buzz of eating out in Chelsea. For once, let’s try something other than the tikka masala, shall we?
At the time of writing this, Rasoi have without doubt the crappiest web site for any top London restaurant. Just a series of images of Chelsea. Further adding to their mystique….
Daphne’s
112 Draycott Avenue Chelsea SW3 | 020 7589 4257
A pretty relaxed affair for this top Italian restaurant located just off the Fulham Road near South Kensington tube station. Great vibe and a popular joint for the pretty locals as well as tourists who have read this same passage that you are reading now (you’d be surprised at how much weight these Agency Caprice recommendations carry, you know). Your sexciting Caprice girl and you (you old charmer) will fit in nicely without standing out. Price wise it’s not too bad, depending on what you drink. Two people should come in under £100.
Unfortunately their web site does say that ‘Children Are Welcome’. Oh well. Can’t be perfect.
The Five Fields
8-9 Blacklands Terrace Chelsea SW3 | 020 7838 1082 | www.fivefieldsrestaurant.com
Exquisite British fare, with a simple menu (ie, not a lot of choice) to make things easy. A ‘non traditional take on the traditional ‘ says one reviewer. Tasty treats like Orkney Scallop, Cotswold Hen and Herdwick Mutton just sound fantastic, and since we have had two of these we can attest to their scrumptious deliciousness. Yes sir. Simple and elegant surroundings, this is not a night club of a restaurant – they just let the food do the talking. Save space to treat your Caprice date to one of Five Field’s amazing desserts, with unexpected combinations of sweet lip smacking goodness to make things fun.
